Spencer and I had been to Sushi Town before, and because he had a mad craving for sashimi, and they have the largest portions of it we’ve ever found, this was our next stop.
Started off with Sunomono Salad again, much nicer portion here! The dressing was just perfect too, not too sour and not too sweet either.
Next up was our spicy tuna sashimi. These portions are HUGE! Neither of us alone could have finished it (though I pretty much made Spencer eat it all, as I mentioned, I’m not a huge fan of sashimi). I’m also not too crazy about too much spicy sauce, I like to actually taste the fish. That being said, it’s pretty good, and definitely a good value.
We also ordered a Dynamite Combo, which is a dynamite roll, two pieces of salmon, and a piece each of tuna and ebi. My favorite thing about Sushi Town is that their nigiri pieces are very generously cut. You get A LOT of fish on each piece. The dynamite rolls were not my favorite so far (I will review those later), but not bad. They use a lot of cucumber and lettuce, which I’m not a huge fan of, but they were fairly nicely rolled and easy to eat.
We ordered some extra nigiri too, just to be safe! Tuna and salmon are only $1 per piece, so we usually pig out a bit here.
All in all, Sushi Town is a good place to get some good sushi for a good price. The service can be a little hit or miss, but the food is consistent and well priced.
